KAHLUA LIQUEUR
 
4 Cups Sugar
2 Cups boiling Water
1 Vanilla Bean
1 2-Oz. jar Antiqua Coffee
1 Pint Brandy or Bourbon
 
Pour boiling Water over Sugar to dissolve, add coffee, stir until completely dissolved.  Set aside to cool.  When cool add 1 pint Brandy or Bourbon.  Pour into two bottles of equal size.  Split and cut crosswise Vanilla Bean.  Add pieces to each bottle.  Let stand 30 days before serving. 
 
P.S.  If Antiqua Coffee is difficult to locate, you may use any good grade of instant coffee.
