TAMALE PIE

2 Lbs. Stew Beef
1 Lb. Pork
2 Tsp. Salt
2 Onions
2 Cloves Garlic
4 Cups Cold Water
 
Cover tightly and stew 3 hours.
 
Pour 4 Cups of the meat broth in Large kettle.
 
1 Large size can tomatoes or puree
1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne
1 1/2 Tablespoon Chili Powder
1 Tablespoon Crumbled Oregano Leaves
 
When near boiling add 1 can corn, taste for seasoning, Now add 2 Cups yellow corn meal, boil 5 minutes stirring constantly.  Take off stove and add Meat boned and shredded and 1 can ripe olives.  Dump all in a buttered baking dish.  Put in oven and bake at 300 for about one hour.
