Even in one of the nation's most populated cities, on the way to a fire with sirens screaming - and while trying to negotiate an impossible turn on crowded, busy, narrow New York City streets, this fireman had a smile and a wave for me, as I snapped his picture from the front row of the upper level of the double-decker tour bus!  To me, this picture captures most, the spirit of the NYC people!
