This was one of the Amish farms we visited.  This house has a full basement.  The man of this house has a good sized cottage industry ran on the property which consists of making those vinyl picket fences we see popping up rather than the old wood ones.  They also herd deer.  When I asked Hansie if they used the meat, he responded they collect the semen (I don't even want to conjure how that may be accomplished, or fully understand why they would want to).  And they use the horns.

The woman of the house has quilt products and other craft items that she sells down in the basement.  She also bakes things and sells them as well.  I purchased a dozen of her peanut butter cookies, which turned out to be the most delicious I had ever eaten.  Also, note the laundry hanging on the front porch.  It was a Monday. . .and Monday is washday in Amish country.
