Point Reyes National Seashore

Not every day in Northern
California, does the sun shine - but yesterday it did! After weeks
of being fogged in here in Sacramento, the clouds parted enough for the
sun to break through with warm energy. While the first morning rays peaked through my kitchen window, I decided to entice the car to roar to life, and revisit a world soaked with sun again! As I have blogged before, I have a few addresses banked into Magellan, for times like these. They are little trips within an hour or two of home, that offer a totally different perspective of the world not normally seen here in Sacramento. As a life-long resident of the Greater Sacramento area, I am proud of the rich tapestry of events and attractions, that create the delightful life-style we enjoy. However, also having many rich adventures within a close radius of home makes our city even more attractive in so many ways. The drive to Point Reyes, an area of the Coast North of San Francisco, which is more rugged than the gentle sun soaked beaches of Southern California, offers an experience all their own. The pictures above capture cliffs along Point Reyes National Seashore. They provide scenes of deer, and the Happy California Dairy Cows, that dwell on valuable real estate along the way. A glimpse into the day of young conservation workers, restoring habitat on the peaks, provides a workday "office" view that would make the CEO of any Fortune 500 company envious! Tomorrow, the rains are to return to Sacramento. They are slated to last for the next 6 days. But the memories of yesterday, should sustain me through all that!
